Tunnel Flying

I love showing others how differently they can use the wind and bodies to really dial in their flying. There are so many aspects to body flight that most people don't realize and its a blast having the opportunity to be able to give that to people. I build all of flying by creating awareness and range of motion. It translates to all types of flying. Are you aware of the net, the walls, the door - are you aware of the wind speed, your body position, my burble, are you tense. With range of motion, too often people get stuck in certain positions thinking thats the position they need to be in to fly that certain discipline. It also seems like most people try and move around but rather get pushed around - on belly flying you should be able to put both hands behind your back and have your feet together and STILL be able to move forward/backwards, up/down etc. You're not doing any work, the wind is doing all the work - all you're doing is presenting angles or surface area and the wind does the rest. Fly with Freedom. Move with Purpose

If you like flying then we will be friends. That's been my motto for years, and it still holds true every time I'm in the air! I coach because I love watching it click for someone. Bodyflight is the ultimate mix of freedom and power — using your body to make flying real. The best part is sharing that feeling with friends. The wind doesn't care how strong you are; it cares about the shape of your body. I coach the positive and follow the process of Safety first, fun second, progress third. In 21+ years teaching thousands to fly, I've found it keeps you in the flow state — more enjoyment, less stress, and it saves you money — just more efficient. Get those right and style develops over time. Lets Fly! Live The Dream (LTD) Flow state coach/utilitarian bodypilot my students can function in any environment or competition. Organizing & events: I was on the boogie tour for SkyVenture Colorado and had the privilege of organizing at MANY dropzones over the years, in all bodyflight disciplines. Load organizing was my full-time job for years, and I've hosted and organized even more tunnel events over the last 21 years.

Skydiving and tunnel flying are two of the most amazing things that human beings do. People don't quit flying when they are continually progressing, they quit when they get stagnate. I want to facilitate that continued growth. Also, on a purely selfish note, the more people I help to become rippers the more people I have to do awesome flying with. I'm not here to be your cheerleader I'm here to make you better. If your striving to be mediocre, I'm not your guy. Flying well is hard. Your going to have to put in the work, and obsess about every little thing, because it all matters. Organizing & events: Multiple years at SDC Summerfest, Zhills Flamingo Boogie, The Sebastian Invasion.

My biggest passion in this sport is flying parachutes and I love sharing that passion with others. I enjoy teaching and find happiness in helping others meet their canopy goals and become better, safer more educated pilots. My style of coaching is fairly technical. I believe that if you understand how your parachute works and flies, it's easier to apply the right techniques. However I think it's important to read the student and cater to their learning style.

In some ways coaching is a selfish endeavor because I never feel more fulfilled as a human than after an incredible coaching session. I know that must sound hyperbolic, but I have spent my entire adult life learning to crack the code of human flight and I love sharing that knowledge with people who feel a similar itch in their soul, with others who know deep down that humans were meant to fly. Plus, I love seeing my students on the podium. I believe in giving my students a set of basic concepts that will unlock the underlying code of human flight. I want to teach you HOW to think about flying, not WHAT to think about flying. From basic to pro level personal flight skills, all the way to creating and maintaining a podium worthy 2 way VFS or MFS team, I would love to help you achieve your goals in this magnificent sport of ours.
